We came across Chris when we had to apply for retrospective planning permission on a garage conversion. We were really nervous and concerned about what to do, who to speak to and how to go about things. Chris at once gave us confidence in terms of being able to take this on and get it sorted and focused us at a very stressful to me, but he never over promised and always kept our expectations in check. We wanted to use our conversion primarily as an annexe to our main home for our elderly parents (as and when the time came) but were also interested in seeing how it would fair as a holiday rental as we live near to a major theme park. Chris stated from the outset that it would be difficult given our location in a rural village and the issues that go along with green belt etc., but it he remained undeterred. He handled all the form filling, was regularly in communication with any updates or if he needed more information. He would steer us on information needed and pointed out so man...

I first came across Chris through his delightful campsite but about 3 months later needed his planning advice. True to his word, the 200 miles between us weren't a problem. He replied very quickly to my initial inquiry with helpful information and internet links to support his comments. He asked clear questions to help clarify the issue with my rather unique project. Chris's contribution has been invaluable to me, enabling me to make a timely and informed decision about pursuing the project. His manner is courteous & friendly and I am confident of his competence.

I found Chris after searching for someone with local knowledge of the Cheshire and Staffordshire area to assist with pre-purchase planning research for a relocation across the country from city to countryside. He has worked to a short timescale and very reasonable fee and has talked through every implication and question regarding the history of the properties and their development potential. I look forward to working with Chris once we have completed our purchase and can progress with some of the ideas we have discussed.

Help With Planning Applications

My name is Christopher Scott, I hold a Master of Arts in Planning Built Environments with the highest grade of Distinction. I offer a range of planning services all covered under my professional indemnity insurance to the sum of £300,000.

From going through the process of securing planning approval for my own projects including building my own home, I appreciate how complicated and stressful the planning process can feel.

Therefore, I now wish to offer my services to others who are trying to secure planning permission for their small scale and householder projects. Whether you are looking to extend your home or build a new one, we can discuss your options and the potential planning challenges you may face. Through reviewing local and national planning policies, we will create a strategy on how to proceed. I can review the planning history of your property and the potential to carry out your plans under permitted development rights.

Once the elevations and floor plans for your proposal have been produced, I can submit the application to your local authority and manage the application for you. I will actively communicate with your appointed local planning officer to negotiate issues they may have with the proposals, and I’ll try to provide solutions. My objective to arrive at a position that both my client and the local authority are happy with.

If you have a project which you need assistance with to secure planning permission, please get in touch through my website www.scottplanningservices.co.uk. Thanks, Chris 😊
